The Violin Maker

The Violin Maker is a gripping historical novel about a contested cello, that questions the facts that history remembers. With an ocean and two hundred and fifty years between them, the two luthiers engaged in the cello’s construction and authentication are locked in a race against time and the guilt of their own consciences, to complete the tasks they have been unwillingly compelled to undertake. Both men are ultimately forced to confront the question: who bears responsibility for the consequences of tragedy? The culprits? Or the bystanders who allow events to unfold before them, without stepping in to intervene?

Based on the provenance of a real cello, The Violin Maker is a story for lovers of historical mysteries, tales of the broken being made whole, and fast-paced fiction with the tension of a psychological thriller.
